The current cross-hybridisation of various media—cinema, video, computer—does not aim to create a universal image which would erase the differences between the various art forms. On the contrary, the aim is to exacerbate and enrich the inherent differences between cinema, video and images created by computer by examining and comparing them.
The book deals with relations between technologies and imagination and includes a dictionary of international video-makers and their works.
